SNOFLINGA SLOW FLOW YOGA

A slow-paced yoga class that focuses on a calming and stretching experience creating an opportunity to de-stress and engage in some self-care.  A combination of two styles of Yoga: Hatha and Vinyasa, our certified yoga instructor will guide participants through gentle stretching and a little bit of strength building in order to build up just enough heat in the body.  After we build up some heat, we’ll come back down onto the floor and be guided through 2-3 Restorative Poses. Restorative Yoga is intended to be calming and relaxing, usually using a lot of props in order to fully support the practitioner.

Each yoga session is limited to the first 15 people to register. You must register to attend this event.

Our certified Mindfulness Instructors will guide participants through 2-3 different mindfulness activities that are intended to introduce them to the practice of mindfulness. Our favorite is called Single Point Meditation, where the practitioner focuses on one form of stimulation or focus, and that’s usually the breath. After our short mindfulness meditations, participants will be guided through 2 to 3 Restorative Poses. Restorative Yoga is intended to be calming and relaxing, usually using a lot of props in order to fully support the practitioner.

SNOFLINGA LEARN TO CURL

Learn how to play the sport of curling! Curling is an Olympic sport in which players slide heavy granite stones down a sheet of ice towards a target area. Two teams, each with four players and eight stones, take turns sliding these stones toward the house, a circular target marked on the ice.

The path of the rock may be further influenced by two sweepers with brooms who accompany it as it slides down the sheet, using the brooms to change the state of the ice in front of the stone. A great deal of strategy and teamwork goes into choosing the ideal path and placement of a stone for each situation.

The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a game; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the center of the house at the conclusion of each end, which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones.
