REMINDER: Santa Rosa County Animal Services to host a drive-through microchip clinic

Santa Rosa County Animal Services (SRCAS) is hosting a reduced-cost microchip drive-through clinic on Sat., June 24 from 12 - 4 p.m. at Santa Rosa County Animal Services, 4451 Pine Forest Road in Milton. Only cats and dogs are eligible to be microchipped. Participants must be residents of Santa Rosa County and will need to show an ID.

For the safety of shelter staff, aggressive animals will not be eligible for microchips. Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter will remain open for regular operations on Sat., June 24 for the clinic. Microchip participants should enter Pine Forest Road from the north end, (Old Bagdad Highway) and exit from the south end of Pine Forest Road (Carroll Road). Other motorist are encouraged to seek alternative routes, the clinic route map is linked below:

Microchips are $10 per animal, cash only. Participants are encouraged to pre-register animals online. Those unable to register online may register in person. All animals must be secured in the vehicle and cats should be secured in a carrier. Microchips can take a few minutes to ensure they are properly injected and scanned. Community members wishing to participate should plan to arrive early and expect longer waits than other drive-through clinics.
