Family Mini-Archives

Taking your place in history means preserving what you know--even if it feels small. In this program, learn how to create your own family archive with ACHS Archivist Kassandra Mackenthun at the Northtown Library in Blaine. You'll leave this program knowing where to start organizing, the materials you'll need, and how we can help in the future. After a short presentation, you'll have time to put your new skills to good use with some archival materials and a couple of small artifacts YOU BRING to the program. You'll leave with a personalized family archive and the knowledge to continue building it. Look forward to seeing you there!

Family stories are the most important stories

Reserve your slot

North Metro TV can make a professional studio recording of these stories for your family

What did Grandpa John do for a living?  What country did Grandma Pat come from?  Whatever happened to Great Aunt Barb? Record these answers now!

The NMTV staff will do all the work and even provide you with a special DVD of your story so you can share it with your kids and grandkids. It’s free for residents of Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Ham Lake, Lexington, Lino Lakes, and Spring Lake Park--all you need are your stories and yourself.

- Reserve your time slot between 3pm and 7pm on October 18 by clicking the turquoise button above or calling Eric at 763-231-2803
