Presented by Brookshire Brothers, the Texas State Forest Festival is an East Texas tradition that attracts over 13,000 people to Lufkin/Angelina County with thrilling competitions, yummy festival food, fun carnival rides,  exciting shows & so much more! This year, the four-day festival will be held from September 14-17, 2023 at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center.  Annually, the Texas State Forest Festival requires over 150 volunteers working about 2,500 hours to stage the event, and continues to be one of the premier annual events in Deep East Texas!

Carnival Fun

Many have asked, and the answer is year. The carnival is back this year! Get ready, the Ferris Wheel, roller coasters, fun houses & so much more will be at the 38th annual the Texas State Forest Festival! 

The High Diving Pirates of The Caribbean Show

The High Diving Pirates of The Caribbean Show is a High Diving, High Seas Adventure! The show utilizes Nationally known high divers in an exciting show that tells the story of the days when Pirates sailed the seven seas, They were in search of a place called Treasure Island where chest’s filled with Gold and Jewels were buried in the sand, the good ship Lufkin set sail for Treasure Island under the command of the brave Captain Kid and his (not so) loyal band of Pirates!.. The action begins after the Captain had sailed them straight into a tropical storm, they make it through the storm but while making repairs on the ship the crew becomes restless and some were even talking of a mutiny!.. What follows is an amazing display of acrobatics and comedy as our Pirates demonstrate Plank (springboard) and Mast diving (tower) comedy, clown diving and an incredible High Dive from the top of the 80 foot high mast of the ship.

Stick around after the show as the divers meet out front of the pool to sign autographs and take pictures!

Tumbleweed Crossing Wild West Comedy Stunt Show is an award-winning Comedy Wild West Gunfight show full of fun and laughter for the whole family.

The Butterfly Encounter 

Experience feeding live butterflies where we bring the butterflies to you. 

Pineywoods Car Show

The Pineywoods Car Show, presented by, BOM Bank, is back this year. Do you have the coolest car or truck around? Register and find out. Registration & Load In is 3 PM - 4:45 PM, Judging 5 PM - 8 PM, and Awards Presentation at 8:30 PM.

Big Axe BBQ Competition

Get ready for a sizzling showdown as grill masters go head-to-head at the Big Axe BBQ Competition, brought to you by Ferrara's Heating and Air! Now IBCA sanctioned!

The East Texas Cheerleading & Pom/Dance Championships, presented by Integra Insurance, will be held September 17, 2023. at the 39th Annual Texas State Forest Festival.

TSFF 5K & Fun Run

Ready, Set, Go!

The fourth annual Lumber-JACKED 5K & Fun Run, presented by S&W Expert Collision Repair, will kick off the festivities bright and early at 8 a.m. on Sept. 16th. Runners will travel around the scenic Ellen Trout Memorial Lake. The registration fee is $20 for ages 13 and up, and $15 for children 12 and under. TSFF Children's Festival 

Hosted by Angelina Beautiful/Clean and the Texas Forestry Museum, the Children's Festival is an area full of fun and hands-on activities that run all 4 days of the 38th Annual Texas State Forest Festival. All activities within the Children’s Festival are free and full of family fun. Children can enjoy games, crafts, educational activities, and much more.

Live Music on the Swingin' Axe State

Who doesn't love live music! Amazing artists can be found on the Swingin' Axe Stage, presented by Visit Lufkin, every night at the Texas State Forest Festival. Lufkin is now designated as Texas Music Friendly. Each day the line-up is brought to you by ServiceMaster Pineywoods 

Wood Carvers

View art revved up by the Bear Hollow Wood Carvers. Watch them work chainsaw magic and create massive yet intricate wood art throughout the four-day festival! Each piece created will be available to make bids on and be taken home at the end of the festival.

Unleash your inner animal at this year's Petting Zoo where you will be able to get up close and make memories.

Beer Garden

The Beer Garden is back! Take a sip of your favorite cold brew at the Texas State Forest Festival!
