City Hall Parking Lot

Beginning after regular business hours on Monday (Oct. 24), sections of City Hall parking lots will be closed for repainting. Parking will be limited during the work, which is expected to be ongoing through Thursday (Oct. 27).

Moratorium Update

The City’s moratorium on certain development was first enacted in 2020 due to the delay in construction of the new East Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) caused by protests of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permit application. This moratorium limits additional demand being added to an already overburdened wastewater system.
The moratorium IS NOT a total halt to all development in the City. Projects that meet certain timetables and/or conditions are allowed to proceed. This moratorium limits additional demand being added to an already overburdened wastewater system. Once the East WWTP is constructed and operational, the system issues will be resolved.
The City strongly encourages people with development questions to call the Community Development Department at (817) 573-1114.
