"Grounded" Art Exhibition
Opening Reception at Studio 18 Art Complex

The City of Pembroke Pines and Studio 18 Art Complex are hosting an opening reception for their Grounded Art exhibition on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. located at 1101 Poinciana Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025.

Admission and parking are free and all ages are invited. Guests in attendance will be able to experience a variety of artistic expression which celebrates the splendor of the Florida landscape. Art pieces including sculptures, mixed media, paintings, and watercolors by South Florida artists will be on display. Guests who attend the opening reception will receive complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.

Collaborators KX2: Dana Kleinman and Ruth Avra create mathematically inspired sculpture merging metal and painting, presenting works that create awareness of the fragility of our natural ecosystems. Mai Yap’s large format abstract paintings reflect her constant search for identity; her study of a fast-paced world has inspired her to study moments of impermanence such as passing clouds and difficult atmospheres. The Tropical Botanical Artists present Fruition, an exhibition of 28 botanical illustrations focused on the intriguing variety of fruits, nuts and seeds produced by South Florida’s abundant native plant species.

Studio 18 Art Complex is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Grounded will be featured February 3 to April 15, 2023.
