5pm: The White Buffalo with Wade Hayes and Autumn Ragland

The Dancing Rabbit Music Festival returns to downtown McAlester, Oklahoma, this summer. This Free, family-friendly music event will have you smiling, singing, and darn.

Headlining our May DRMF24 show is The White Buffalo, also known as singer/songwriter/guitarist Jake Smith. A grammy award-winning producer of the year, he has four CMA and five ACM Awards, and when it comes to making music, he's known for NEVER taking the obvious route. Before The White Buffalo takes the stage, you may recognize the familiar song, "On a Good Night". That'd be Wade Hayes. If you know country music, you know Wade Hayes. He appeared on the country music scene in 1994 with his song "Old Enough to Know Better," and his songs have been on the country radio ever since. Kicking off the show, is a DRMF alum and someone we like to call a festival friend, Autumn Ragland. You may remember her as the lead singer from the band Ragland. Returning this time as a solo artist, this native Okie, with an Americana/Country sound is ready to take center stage kicking off our May show.

Always free, always fun, live music event returns for another year.

5pm: Amythyst Kiah with Eddie 9V and EG Vines

It's a vibe. Or at least that's what you'll be saying at our June #DRMF24 show. The sun may be heating up the streets but it'll be the artist that's giving a whole lotta heat and definitely a vibe. Free for all, come for the music but stay for the fun and the festival friends.
Headlining our June show will be grammy-nominated Amythyst Kiah. Some may recognize this Tennessee native as a member of the group, Our Native Daughters. However, she's found breakout success on her own, and as Rolling Stones described, she's "one of Americana's great up-and-coming secrets." Before Kiah is Eddie 9V. Rolling Stones said he "turns his guitar and voice to gut-bucket soul, the kind that is not really made anymore, and his passion is so palpable it makes the music bristle with discovery." Kicking us off will be EG Vines. Channeling alt-rock of the 90s mixed with a high energy aura of punk, festival friends, expect a voice that stands out above the rest. Sharp wit and a nuanced point of view, our first artist up, is simultaneously "captivating, dynamic, and thought-provoking."

We'll see you in downtown McAlester. It's free, it's fun, and as we mentioned, it's definitely a Whole Vibe!
