The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) denounces the hostile environment created by Cornell University and many schools across the country where Jewish students can no longer live safely. Several posts in a Cornell University discussion forum called for the rape and murder of Jewish women, the stabbing and throat slitting of Jewish men, the destruction of Jewish synagogues and facilities, and the beheading of Jewish babies. This comes after The School Allowed celebrations of these acts against Jews in Israel, the regular spread of lies about Jews and Israel, and the attack on Jewish students.

To say that these acts are unacceptable does not make the point. The school and many other schools have not acted in compliance with the law protecting the interests of and the safety of their Jewish students. These universities have fostered a hostile environment causing grave injury to almost all members of the Jewish community. We cannot allow this unsafe and vile situation to continue. We demand that New York State step in Now.
