It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rabbi Myron Fenster of Shelter Rock Jewish Center. Rabbi Fenster was a true tzaddik and a very special part of the HMTC family.
Rabbi Fenster has been involved with HTMC from its inception. He was its first educational guide, working side by side with Bishop John McGann. Rabbi Fenster was also the honoree of HMTC's 25th Annual Tribute Dinner.
He and his wife Ricky moved to Long Island with their family in 1966, where he served as spiritual leader of The Shelter Rock Jewish Center until 2002. The couple continued to serve communities around Long Island thereafter, in Great Neck, Old Westbury, Easthampton, and Greenport.
May his memory forever be a blessing.
