From: The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County

As we approach Rosh Hashanah, we reflect on the past year and look ahead to the next. HMTC is grateful for all it has accomplished this year, thanks to the support of our community.

-Educated more than 70,000 students of all backgrounds across Long Island about the Holocaust and intolerance in all forms.

-Developed innovative upstander education programs for younger grades, beginning in Kindergarten.

-Launched the NYCED accredited Irving Roth Professional Development Center thanks to a grant from the Claims Conference.

-Created digital experiences with Holocaust survivors using artificial intelligence, to keep them and their stories alive forever.

-Debuted a musical score written by a Greek Auschwitz orchestra survivor through a concert at Carnegie Hall.

-Welcomed many new faces to our center to join our thriving community, including grandchildren of survivors and young professionals.

You make this work possible. If you’ve donated in the past, thank you so much. To keep these innovative programs going and help us develop new ones to respond to the world around us, your support is essential.

There are many ways to give:

-Monthly Gift -- for $18, $36, $50, or any amount of your choice a month, you can make a difference throughout the year.

-One-Time Gift -- of any amount -- will help us sustain and grow our education programs.

-Membership -- learn about initiatives before they’re open to the public, free museum admission, special events, and more.

-Brick Campaign -- donate for a brick to go in HMTC’s Children’s Memorial Garden and become a permanent part of the museum.

As the Holocaust survivors among us become more frail and pass on, we must ensure their stories and legacies continue. We must keep our promises to them.

Thank you for your support. Let’s look ahead to a meaningful new year where we can continue to make a positive difference for so many students.

L’Shana Tovah,

Andrea Bolender
