Trivia Night

The library is holding a Celebrating Women Trivia Night on Tuesday, March 7th at 5 PM. You can play alone or with a partner. Answer the most questions correctly and you could win a prize! Register at the front desk or by calling (229) 386-7148.

Free trivia tip: March is Women’s History Month.

Fizzy Book Club

Enjoy a fizzy drink while talking about our group’s read on Tuesday, February 7th from 5–6 PM. This month’s book is The Alchemist by Michael Scott.

Scratch Club

The Scratch Club is the place to be to learn how to make your very own computer games using the friendly Scratch programming environment, and is open to all kids ages 10+, from experienced Scratch aficionados to curious beginners. The club meets Thursdays at 5 PM, except for the first Thursday of the month (come visit the Robotics program, instead!).

Manga Club

Read some manga, have some snacks, and nerd out with people that eat, sleep, manga, and repeat! Weebs, otakus, and casual readers welcome! The Manga Club’s next meeting is Thursday, March 9th at 5 PM.

Reading Rascals – Thursdays @ 10 AM. Songs, stories, and a simple craft for kids ages 0–5.

Teen

Fizzy Book Club – Tuesday, March 7th @ 5 PM. Enjoy a fizzy drink while talking about our group’s read.

Manga Club – Thursday, March 9nd @ 5 PM. Read some manga, have some snacks, and nerd out.

Scratch Club – Thursday, March 9th @ 5 PM. Make games and have fun with Scratch programming. Ages 10 and up.

Adult

Trivia Night – Tuesday, March 7th at 5 PM. Play along or with a partner. Registration required.

Beginner Computer Class – Fridays 10–11 AM in the boardroom. Get answers to your questions about technology.

Financial Literacy Initiative

Tifton’s Financial Literacy Initiative “strives to better equip a population to make good decisions on credit and better position assets and resources that are effective and productive, resulting in significant personal, household-level, small business and community-wide impact.” The Initiative will be holding events throughout the year.

The next event will be Using Credit Wisely on Tuesday, March 21st 5:30–7:00 PM at the Leroy Rogers Senior Center in Tifton. You can register online or in person at Tifton City Hall.

Nacho Normal Book Club

We don’t have boring book clubs at the library, as we have the Nacho Normal Book Club! The Nacho Normal Book Club will meet in the library board room on Tuesday, March 28th 5–6 PM to discuss The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams and enjoy some delicious goodies from Taqueria Hermanos Chavez.
