From: Town Of Bridgewater

The Registrars Department is in search of Poll Workers for the upcoming General Election.  The positions we are seeking are Official Checkers, Tabulator Tenders, and Ballot Clerks.  Are you interested?

Requirements

  1. You must be a registered voter in the State of Connecticut.
  2. On election day, you must be able to work at the Hilltop Senior Center from 5:15am through the close of the polls at 8:00pm.  Your work also includes time after the close of the polls to process the last voters already in line at 08:00pm, tabulate the election results, and pack up the election equipment.  However, dependent upon quantity and availability of Poll Workers, a split-shift may be in place for most positions where each person can work for only one-half day.
  3. Each worker is required to take training prior to the election.  The training session is usually held in the week prior to the election.

Provisions

  1. Each Poll Worker will be paid by The Town of Bridgewater for their time spent at the election polls.
  2. A limited Continental Morning Assortment, Lunch, and Dinner will be provided to all Poll Workers.  Ample breaks will be granted throughout the day.
