From: Town Of Chaplin

The September 10th Chaplin Bicentennial Celebration is approaching! Planning to attend the ??????? It's sure to be the biggest parade Chaplin has ever seen with 30+ entrants! Expect to see marching bands, a fife and drum corps, antique vehicles, fire trucks, horses, and floats by all your favorite local organizations. Come cheer on your friends and celebrate Chaplin's 200th Birthday!

There will be plenty of parking and parking attendants to help you get a spot. Parking will be at the Chaplin Senior Center/Library and the lot across from DPW. (No parking on roads please.) You can bring your chairs and watch the parade from in front of the Senior Center/Library or in front of the Chaplin Church. Handicapped viewers can drive to the Library parking area where there are handicapped parking spots and a nearby grassy area for viewing.

The parade starts at 10:30 am from the intersection of Ridge and Palmer Roads, down Palmer Road to Chaplin Street where it will turn left and head to Rt. 198. From there the parade will head up Rt. 198 to Garrison Park where some of the floats will be parked for viewing.

Don't miss the best parade in Chaplin since 1822! See you there!
