Improve Posture & Relieve Pain with the Alexander Technique
Mondays, January 23 & 30, 11:00-12:00 on Zoom

Learn to improve your posture and balance, move with ease and relieve stiffness, pain and tension. Poor posture, stress, and neck/back pains are often caused by unrecognized habits of tension. By teaching how to recognize and unlearn these common habits, the Alexander Technique provides the means to restore your innate good posture, balance and poise. Since 1900, it has enabled people to reduce tension and stress, improve performance in life’s activities, and experience lasting relief from chronic pain. Forensic Science Roadshow
Tuesday, January 24, 11:00-12:30 at the COA

Venture into the world of CSI with this interactive program that introduces you to the fascinating subject of forensic science, like the functions of a forensic scientist, fingerprints, and footwear impressions. Forensic Scientist, Paul Zambella, was a crime scene investigator, criminalist, drug analyst, serologist and toxicologist at the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory for 36 years. He participated in more than 500 crime scene investigations, examined thousands of physical evidence items and testified in more than 350 criminal trials. Call the COA at 781-786-6280 to register.

COA Art Exhibit: Anjana Bhargava
Reception & Artist Talk
Wednesday, January 25, 10:30-12:00 at the COA

Come see the unique and beautiful Madhubani art created by Anjana Bhargava. This Indian style of painting is done with a variety of tools, such as fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens and matchsticks using natural dyes and pigments. Anjana is inspired by different mythological themes such as Indian cultures, historical characters and beautiful colors of life.

Anjana's exhibit will be on display at the COA January 25-March 22. Visit the COA to view these wonderful works of art.

REAL ID Workshop
Thursday, January 26, 1:00-2:00 on Zoom

Learn the new federal and state requirements for renewing a driver’s license or ID card, the difference between the “standard” and “REAL” driver’s licenses and ID cards to decide which is right for you, and how to renew your license or ID card. Learn practices of mindful awareness and gentle breathing exercises to help manage stress and cultivate deeper gratitude and wellbeing in your life. Connect with like-minded friends and be empowered to live a happier life. Each class includes mindful awareness, breathwork and practices for daily life that purposefully cultivate kindness, community and wellbeing. Lisa Campbell is the founder of Mindfulfilled Meditation, LLC. She holds meditation and mindfulness teaching certifications from the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership, Unified Mindfulness, and the McLean Meditation Institute.
