The Town of Wilton’s Fire Department is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Secretary to perform a variety of administrative duties for the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, Deputy Fire Marshal (collectively “Fire Administration”) and Apparatus Supervisor in support of the operation of the department.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

-Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.

-Ability to exhibit tact and diplomacy in dealing with other employees and the public.

-Ability to counsel appropriate parties, under the direction of the Fire Chief, in matters which may affect the operation of the Fire Department; and

-Ability to coordinate activities, under the direction of the Fire Chief, with appropriate Departments.
