Weekly Running Club

Looking to connect with your fellow runners? Interested in getting into running, but not sure where to start? Then get ready to "beat feet" with our Saturday morning running group led by Dave Kiersznowski. If you are new to the activity, this is your opportunity to learn new techniques and build new partnerships to ensure your success. Participate in 8 sessions this summer to receive free "Be Well Windsor" running swag. Living with Mental Illness

Have you ever felt alone in your quest for mental wellness? If so, let's get real and reduce the stigma of modern day mental health with this special speaker series facilitated by Hartford Healthcare. During the session you will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of three individuals who are living with mental illness. This is your opportunity to hear candid stories about what it truly means to be on the road to wellness and ask any questions that may be on your mind. Dinner (courtesy of "My Local Chefs") is included for those who pre-register, so secure your spot today.

Golden Hour/Full Moon Paddle

Join Northwest Park educators on a guided Golden Hour/ Full Moon Paddle on Rainbow Reservoir from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, June 3.

Take a short hike down to Oil City where we will launch our canoes to explore the Farmington River as we learn about wildlife species, the importance of Rainbow Dam and water conservation. The Full Strawberry Moon will guide our way as we hike back to the Nature Center. Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) will be required to be worn by all participants. NWP will have PFDs available to borrow. Ages 12+. Fee for this program is $20 person (Windsor resident) $25 per person (Nonresidents). Participants must preregister as space is limited.

Intro to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Get ready to hit the mat improve your physical fitness while learning the fundamentals of a new martial art. In this program you will learn the foundational moves and techniques, utilizing practical drilling, and live training to help you get started off right. Participate in at least 5 sessions this summer to receive "Be Well Windsor Swag".
