The City of Lake Oswego and Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce(link is external) invite you to ring in the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Festival! 2023 marks the 59th year of this time-honored tradition. Festivities take place at Millennium Plaza Park only, with holiday music from Lakeridge and Lake Oswego High School Choirs & Millennium Concert Band, a holiday marketplace of festive vendors, and a special visit from the big guy in red! The magical Timberview Farm Reindeer will also be on display at the event. The celebratory lighting of the Millennium tree takes place at 6 p.m.

Santa Letters: Let Santa know you've been extra nice this year! Join the Police at the Tree Lighting from 5-7pm to write a letter to Kris Kringle and drop it in the red mailbox as part of the annual police community-building #YouandBlue campaign. Believers of all ages will receive a personal letter from the big guy in red! Make sure to print clearly so Santa knows all your wishes and include a return address too. Sample letters to print and decorate at home can be found at the bottom of this page on mobile or side when viewing from a computer.
