Two Iconic Downtown Aurora Buildings Reopen This Weeks Afterdecades Of Vacancy

The Terminal Building’s upper floors were vacated in the 1960s. The last commercial tenant left the ground floor in 2003. 

The historic building has been revitalized and reimagined - and new tenants are moving into downtown Aurora.

Featuring 20 lofts apartments on the upper levels and retail space on the ground floor, the Terminal Building is now Lofts on Broadway.

Join us as we continue to downtown Aurora renaissance with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 3.

Initially built in 1892, the Hobbs Building is known for its Romanesque Revival-style architecture that once featured an iconic copper onion dome. The building hasn’t been fully used for decades, with the top floors unoccupied for more than 70 years.

130 years later, the historic building has been revitalized and reimagined – and new tenants are moving into downtown Aurora. 

Featuring 31 apartments and retail space on the ground floor, the new mixed-use redevelopment project is an integral part of the downtown Aurora renaissance.
