From: United Way of Greater Nashua

Dear friends!

As we get ready to enjoy the Labor Day Holiday weekend and perhaps say "so long" to summer, I wanted to make you aware of two ways to get involved in the coming weeks...

Cornhole for a Cause!

For the 2nd year in a row, we will be hosting a fun, family-friendly cornhole tournament. It's a fundraiser for our community chest safety net fund... which means that the dollars we raise go torward uplifting the community and helping to make sure that no person falls through the cracks! The event is on October 1, 12-5, at the Millyard Brewery in Nashua. Food from Soel Sistas' Food Truck will be on hand, and there will be live music. You can register a team of 2 for this tournament for just $50, or sponsor a lane for just $100, or support the event and get a team for just $500! The event is brought to you this year by our great naming sponsors GM Roth, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Shaheen and Gordon.

United We Sleep to End Hunger and Homelessness!

For one night in October, you will join dozens of Greater Nashuans in learning about the issues of extreme poverty and exploring pathways to success. You will share stories and learn from local experts as you sleep out in the elements, with one eye open in the cold, and experience a small semblance of what our homeless population experiences day in and day out. You will join together in support of our community in a unique and deeply satisfying way.

We invite you to join us this year in Sleeping United to End Hunger & Homelessness.

Coming soon... watch for:

In October we will be hosing our first ever "Gleaning Day of Caring" as a way to address food security in our community. Especially in these times of high inflation and economic uncertainty, this could be a great hands-on way for you to make a difference. And during the holidays we will once again be partnering with the Nashua Telegraph to help low-income families with the Santa Fund!

Wishing you and your family a safe and restful Labor Day Weekend,

And thank you for Living United!

Mike, Samantha, Sharon, Liz, and Sara
