Becket Athenaeum. Herbal Tinctures with Kali Tomasi. August 2, 6-8pm at the library. Come and learn how to prepare your own herbal tinctures using the traditional folk method. Tinctures offer a wide range of support in a concentrated, shelf-stable, and liquid form. At the end of this class, you will go home with your own tincture as well as the knowledge to carry on your skills for future use. This hands-on, beginners workshop is open to all ages, but please note that anyone under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited! Becket Athenaeum. Summer Storytime & Craft Hour. Wednesdays, June 22 to August 24, 10:30am. Outdoor under tents. 12 Brooker Hill Rd, Becket (behind the Mullen House, across the street from the library). Seating is on grass, bring your own blanket/chairs. Becket Athenaeum. Cookbook Club. Monday, August 8 6pm. The Gefilte Manifesto by Jeffrey Yoskowitz & Liz Alpern. Email [email protected] for a copy of the cookbook. Let us know which recipe you plan to prepare. Prepare the recipe to share. Meet at the library (outside if the weather allows) to discuss experience with recipes and enjoy each other's creations. Becket Athenaeum. Estate Planning with Pamela Green. August 17, 6:30-8pm inside the library. Masks are encouraged especially if you are immunocompromised or not vaccinated. Join attorney Pamela Green, a partner in the firm Smith Green & Holmes, LLP, to learn what every person should know about Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health care Proxies. She will provide a broad overview of what these documents can do for you and why you may (or may not) need them. There will be time for questions.
