Ventfort Hall Receives Grants from Massachusetts Cultural Council

Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum has received two grants from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, through its Cultural Sector Recovery Grants for Organizational Program for $34,640 and its Festivals and Projects Program for $2500.

These grants signify that Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum provides significant public value through its programs and services including but not limited to the Summer 2022 Tea & Talk Lecture Series which received the Festivals and Projects grant. This summer series is a very popular annual series held on Tuesdays, June through August, and will be held again this summer on Tuesdays at 4 pm, June 20 through August 29 at 4 pm.

State representative Smitty Pignatelli had this to say, “Ventfort Hall is a deserving recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council grants. They are dedicated to preserving Gilded Age history and play an active role in contributing to the rich, cultural tapestry of the Berkshires.

Mass Cultural Council has a budget of $15.7 million, including an appropriation of nearly $14 million from the state of Massachusetts and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and other sources. The agency also runs the Mass Cultural Facilities Fund in partnership with MassDevelopment.”

Mass Cultural Council funds reach every community in the Commonwealth. Its mission is to promote excellence, education, access and diversity in the arts, humanities and sciences, to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents and contribute to the vitality of our communities and economy.
