MV FILM SOCIETY Community Collaborations featured in recent

MV TIMES article

"The MV Film Society states, “We believe that strength lies in community partnerships, and in the adage that ‘what goes around comes around.’” Clearly, it continues to live up to its commitment … and the Island is all the richer for it."

Here at the Film Society, our mission hasn’t wavered: using the power of film, the performing arts, and collaborations to inspire, enlighten, and entertain you. The need for community, the cultural arts, and open dialogue are more important now than ever, and we are doing everything we can to provide you with peace of mind while welcoming audiences back to the Film Center experience.

In 2022, we held all six of our annual film festivals, including bringing back our opening and closing night party's for the MV International Film Festival. Scroll down for dates on the coming year's festivals.

After a successful Capital Campaign in 2021, we closed on the property that houses the Film Center December 2021, completing the mission we began over ten years ago. As always, we’re staying open throughout the off-season to serve our community and are thrilled to have audience favorites such as the Metropolitan Opera Live, National Theatre Live, and the Art Exhibitions on Screen back at the center. We plan to keep collaborating with other Island nonprofits and local schools at every opportunity.

2023 is just getting started, join us this year as often as you can.
