Art for small hands, art for all hands! Gather with us to paint your own mini painting. Based on the illustrations in Sophie Blackall’s book Hello, Lighthouse, we will explore her gorgeous coastal color palette of sea-greens, ocean-blues, whites, and reds. All painting styles and abilities are welcome at this family-friendly paint-party. Waterville Public Library, Colby College Museum of Art, Children's Discovery Museum, and Kennebec Valley Community Action Program will also be on site with other engaging arts activities.

Curated by Maine artist Matt Demers, No Time explores the presence of everyday objects and figures through the work of eight Maine artists using a wide variety of media and techniques. The exhibition highlights artists and their unique ability to re-imagine and re-interpret these subjects with a fresh energy and creative perspective. Participating artists are Rachel Gloria Adams, Chelsea Ellis, Julie K. Gray, John Carnes, Tessa Greene O’Brien, Robert Saunders, Brian White, and Holden Willard.

This 2010 viral video turned family-friendly feature stars Marcel, an adorable one-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother Connie and their pet lint Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. But when a documentary filmmaker discovers them amongst the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope at finding his long-lost family.

Join in the fun of Festival Time and help Clara guess the mischievous little gnome's name. You will also encounter a Jester, Villagers, Wizards, a Queen, a King, Knights and a band of busy little Bees. This heart-warming tale of mischief and friendship answers more questions than just "What is that little man's name?”
