October at Wave Hill

A highlight of the fall season, falconer Brian Bradley is back on Wings over Wave Hill Day, October 9, while families get inspired by the songs of migrators, and two birding walks get us out in the gardens looking and listening.

Throughout October, Garden Walks (Wed, Sun) and Gallery Tours (Thu, Sat) frame each week as we move through the glorious crescendo of fall at Wave Hill. Weekend Family Art Projects focus on symbiosis, memory, sundials, Día de los Muertos and more.

As the days get shorter, our hours do, too. Starting October 31, we close at 4:30PM.

Hosted by Wave Hill's Friends of Horticulture Committee, our Gardeners’ Party celebrates the art of gardening. This year, we honored urban designer and landscape architect Signe Nielsen in mid-September. The party raises support for the gardens and our horticultural programs, including the John Nally Internship.  This paid, hands-on internship trains the next generation of gardeners.  Funds are still needed to underwrite the program this year—donate here.
