LIBRARY HOURS - UPDATED!

Mondays-Wednesdays: 10 AM - 6PM
Thursdays: 9 AM - 6 PM
Fridays: 10 AM - 5 PM
Saturdays: 9 AM - 5 PM
Sundays: 12 - 4 PM

MEETING ROOMS

Private meeting rooms can be booked for 45 minutes beginning at the top of the hour, Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a reservation. Reservations must be made online here.

SEPTEMBER ART EXHIBIT

Beth Parker's paintings are on display in the Community Room throughout the month of September. Please click here to learn more about the artist and exhibit.

LEARNING LAB
Teens and kids ages 12+ are invited to the Young Adult Room after school for Learning Lab. Learning Lab is open Mondays-Fridays from 3-5pm. Email Young Adult Librarian Laura Hearn with any questions: [email protected].

PAPER BAGS NEEDED

The Friend's of the West Tisbury Library are in need of clean paper bags (with handles!). Paper bag donations can be dropped off at their sheds at the West Tisbury School. Thank you!

"THE FILMS OF ALFRED HITCHCOCK" PROGRAM SERIES
The MV libraries present two in-person film screenings and one virtual presentation with film expert Brian Rose. Join us for one, two, or all three events! Learn more about the series here.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, at 7:30 AM: CHAIR YOGA AND MEDITATION CLASS (online via Zoom)

All levels and ages are invited to chair yoga and meditation led by Jason Mazar-Kelly (YogiJay) on Wednesdays. In this class, participants will be guided through seated and moving meditations utilizing the support and assistance of a chair. All you will need for this class is an armless chair and a place to put it. Please click here to sign up.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, at 10:30 AM: ADULT COMMUNITY DANCE CLASS (in-person)
Join Jesse Keller Jason's in-person dance on Saturdays from 10:30-11:30am. Each class includes a guided warm-up, upbeat movement sequences, and space for the dancers’ own creativity. All levels are welcome! No sign up needed to attend.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, from 10:30 AM - 3 PM: FAMILY CRAFT TABLE (in-person)
Drop by on Saturdays for family crafts in the Children's Room. These weekly crafts will be available from 10:30am-3pm (or until supplies run out). No sign up required!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, at 3:30 PM: PLANNING FOR MEDICARE - COUNTDOWN TO 65 (in-person)

Led by William Rowbottom, Senior Plan Consultant. This comprehensive seminar helps people approaching Medicare eligibility understand their health insurance options outside of their employer-sponsored coverage, whether they are planning to retire or not. Topics include Medicare and Medicare Parts A and B, Medicare enrollment timeline, Medigap plans that help supplement Medicare coverage, and more. Email [email protected] to sign up for this workshop.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, from 2-4 PM: MAC HELP DESK (in-person)
Need Mac help? “Mac Pro” Paul Levy will be on hand to help library patrons with their Mac devices on the West Tisbury Library porch. Drop in with or without your device and find help using or buying an iPhone, iPad, or a Mac computer. No sign up required. September 26 is the last Mac Help date of the season.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, at 10-11 AM: DROP IN WELLNESS CLINIC (in-person)
Public health nurse Lila Fischer will offer a free drop-in wellness clinic on the first Monday of each month. Island Health Care, in conjunction with the Island’s boards of health, offer free blood pressure and other screenings, health counseling, and monthly health promotion information. No registration needed.
