Welcome, summer interns!

The Williams Summer Arts & Museums Immersion Program has begun! Student interns are working at WCMA, Chesterwood, The Clark, MASS MoCA, and the Stockbridge-Munsee Preservation Office at Stockbridge Mission House. They're immersed in curatorial projects, community engagement, collection research, art fabrication, and museum operations, all while taking advantage of the multitude of arts offerings in the Berkshires.

Follow our Instagram account for updates on student projects. Look for the WCMA interns in the Williamstown Fourth of July parade. Or come to Field Farm Saturdays at noon for an intern-led tour of Rose B. Simpson’s new monumental installation Counterculture. While you're there, enjoy the walking trails and be sure to check out the other sculptures on view.

Immersions program series debuts July 7

Experience new worlds of song, story, and dance with WCMA’s summer performance series.

The Immersions: Summer Break Program Series kicks off Thursday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m. when Brooklyn-based medieval music ensemble Alkemie makes their Berkshires debut with a performance of Verdant Medicine: Hildegard’s Resonant Apothecary, inspired by the life and writings of the twelfth century mystic, medic, and musician Hildegard von Bingen.

This performance will take place in the Thompson Memorial Chapel. Please find a campus map here. Following the performance, join us at 6:30 p.m. for a reception on the WCMA patio. Galleries will remain open until 8 p.m.
