INDOOR How to Get a Real ID

Tuesday, August 2, 7pm

Join Branch Manager of AAA North Reading, Jennifer Muniz, and Assistant Branch Manager, Kimberly MacInnis, as they help us prepare to acquire a Real ID. Real ID is going into effect May 3, 2023, which is rapidly approaching. Real ID requires multiple documents that tends to be confusing, and during this presentation Jennifer & Kimberly will explain what is going to happen and when, detail the documents needed to get a Real ID, and answer any questions. They will also bring license applications and Real ID checklists.

Join us in a professional forum for networking with peers in a safe and comfortable environment conducive to developing new relationships and developing skills and strategies to help in your career transition. Each meeting features a new topic. Meetings include a presentation and hands-on workshop on topics relevant to career transition, guest speakers, access to hiring managers, small group breakout rooms to network, and 1-on-1 coaching guidance. VIRTUAL Hydrangeas -- Which One is Right for Me?

This lecture focuses on the key points that gardeners should consider before they invest in a hydrangea. With over 600 cultivars to select from, it’s easy to select a plant based on some attributes only to find that it will definitely not be the “right plant in the right place.” The seven species are identified, examples of each are provided, and their best use in the landscape is examined. Led by Kathie Skinner, a Senior Principal Master Gardener, the past Education Coordinator and current Master Gardener Training Coordinator for the Massachusetts Master Gardner Association.

OUTDOOR @ SWAIN GREEN: Summer Bash

Thursday, August 11, 5:30pm

Celebrate the end of summer with an all-ages party on the Swain Green. Bring blankets or lawn chairs but be ready to stand up and dance! Rolie Polie Guacamole, a touring "kindie" band from Brooklyn, NY, will play a variety of songs for all ages. Dinner is available to purchase from food trucks. Children’s games, crafts, prizes, and more fun for all ages!
