Outdoor Storytimes

Join us for outdoor Storytimes, located in the Peggy Kane Reading Garden! These sessions include books, rhymes, music, and movement! Registration is for the full six-week session.

Pre-School Storytime, Ages 3-6

Tuesdays, starting September 5 through October 10, 10am (no storytime September 12)

Music with Dara

Tuesday, September 12, 10am

With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Ages 2-5, siblings welcome

Family Programs

iny Art Show: Canvas Pick-Up

September 9 to September 16, All Day

Tiny Art Show is back! Open to all ages and all mediums! Paint a tiny canvas, draw a tiny picture, create a tiny sculpture, a tiny felted creation, tiny knitting, or even tiny ceramics! Be creative!

Tiny canvases will be available for pickup in the Youth Services Room, while supplies last, but don't fret if you don't get one - you can get your own at a craft store or create something 3D or on stiff paper! Deadline to pick-up canvases is Saturday, September 16th.

Specifications: All artwork must be either on a 3x3 inch canvas or, if 3D, must be 3 inches or smaller in all dimensions. Deadline to submit artwork is September 25th.

Lil' Bookworms Book Club

A book club for students in Kindergarten through Grade 2, featuring books, reading comprehension, and an activity! Grades K-2

Thursday, September 7, 3:45pm

Build with LEGOs at the same time as other LEGO fans and display what you make in the library! Grades K-5

Kids' Book Café

Wednesday, September 13, 3:45pm

A book tasting for students in Grades 3-5. Sample a variety of books, both fiction and nonfiction, revolving around the same genre or theme. Each session will include either a themed snack or activity! Grades 3-5

Thursday, September 14, 6-7:30pm

Come read to Brandie, a loveable dog that loves to listen to kids read! Sign-up for one 15-minute session per family. Grades K-6, siblings & caregivers welcome
