From the Director

I have always loved the heat and sunshine of August. It is even better to enjoy it on the Cape. We are looking forward to more Summer Reading fun for all ages – you can read the details below – and a personal highlight is a visit from Eric Jay Dolin, an award-winning historian and writer, on August 11. We will be hosting this event at the Yarmouth Senior Center, since we expect it to be popular with residents and visitors to Cape Cod, and there’s more room there. Tell all your friends and neighbors. We also will be saying farewell to our Youth Services Librarian, Ms. Connie Marr, who will be retiring in the middle of the month. It is hard to believe how time flies.

Summer Reading

The Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” is winding down. We still have activities and programs planned for all ages and it’s not too late to sign up. Register online or by downloading the Beanstack app to your device. There is also the option to register in person at the Library. You will receive a reading log to record your time reading, to write book reviews, and to earn badges. Everyone who records their reading, in either format, will be eligible for rewards. “Oceans of Possibilities” is sponsored by the Yarmouth Town Libraries and funded by the South Yarmouth Library Association and the West Yarmouth Library Association.
