From: Yarmouth Town Libraries

From the director

Finally, some rain found its way to cape cod. I know i am not the only one with hydrangeas that gave up the ghost this past summer. Other perennial plantings in our yard have tried very hard, but the flowers have been meager so far. I just hope they can find their way back to vigorous growth next year. And so, we prepare for fall and winter. Another chance for the cape to show its beauty in different seasons. I was invited to speak at the yarmouth rotary’s september 23 meeting, and there was a great exchange of questions, information, and comments about the importance of a library in a strong community. Thank you, rotary, for the chance to reach out to the public. Here’s some news: we will be hosting our first in-person author event on sunday, october 16, at the south yarmouth library, at 2:00 p.m. Find more information and sign up on our library website. Walk-ins will be welcome. Happy fall, all.
