The Center serves all boys and girls in grades 7 through 12 (12 to 17 years old). The facility is a "drop in" format, which means teens may enter or leave at any given time during the designated hours and may choose to engage

in different activities throughout the duration of their visit. Daily activities include indoor sports, arcade-type games, home theater with movies, computer lab, tutors, fitness lab, etc.

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is conducting a
search for energetic teens who would like to work hard and make a
difference. The Youth Ambassador Board consists of young men and women
who volunteer to help plan the programs and services at the Youth
Center. Applicants need to be 13-17 years old and live in the Santa
Maria Valley. The Youth Ambassadors will be selected to serve a two year
term or until the completion of 12th grade, whichever is sooner.
