Ararat Farms

12 Vancycle Road
207-763-3030

Each week, we will pack a variety of vegetables (and some fruits) into your share. Our aim is to supply you and your family with all the fresh produce you'll need. In each weekly share, we will try to provide:

An allium, such as leeks, onions, or garlic . A leafy green, such as salad mix or kale . A root crop, such as carrots, potatoes, or beets . A legume, such as beans or peas . A brassica crop, such as broccoli or cabbage (especially in the later season) . A fruiting crop, such as tomatoes or peppers . A "treat," such as a watermelon or sweet corn

Where do I go to get my share? Most shares will be picked up at Ararat Farms in Lincolnville on Thursdays from 2 PM to 7 PM. If you live in Belfast, Camden, or Rockport, shares can also be delivered directly to a convenient pickup location for an additional charge of $5 per week, provided there are a minimum of six customers in your town.

Ararat Farms is a diversified farm in Lincolnville Maine, tucked into the Midcoast Maine region.

Our mission is:  To grow a range of products that comprise an holistic, plant-based diet for our customers. To grow high-quality crops with measurably superior flavor, nutrient density, and shelf life than standard grocery store offerings. To use methods that are all natural, and that conserve and enhance our soil. While we are not certified organic, we do not use any nonorganic sprays or fertilizers in our production.

In 2011, we will be producing a wide range of food products, including mixed vegetables, specialty greens, mushrooms, eggs, apples, and some grains.
