112 Aspen Ave
1-877-521-3500

Area Agency on Aging Region III.- NACOG serves clients in the four Northern Counties of Arizona, excluding the reservations. We are a part of a national network of organizations, established under the Older Americans Act of 1965 (OAA) to respond to the needs of Older Adults. There are 618 Area Agencies on Aging throughout the United States.

All Area Agencies advocate, plan, coordinate, develop and deliver services for seniors 60 years and older and for family caregivers. To meet its objectives, the Area Agency on Aging contracts with over 26 social service providers, health departments and nutrition sites to deliver services that assist the elderly, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible.  Over 330,000.00 hot meals are served to seniors in the region each year, 19,476 rides and more than 26,000 hours of in-home care are provided.

Direct service through Area Agency staff is also available for  Medicare/Benefits counseling, Resident Advocacy through the ombudsman program, Information and Referral, Evidenced Based Health and Wellness, Options Counseling, Care Transitions, Family Caregiver Supports, Case management and CST Monitoring systems. Staff and volunteers regularly visit Northern Arizona communities for the purpose of training, educating and advocating on important senior issues, and meeting individually with senior clients.

The Older Americans Act and Social Service Block Grants through the Social Security Act primarily fund the Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) allocate funds on a regional basis, to the AAA. Client donations are encouraged and help ensure the stability and success of all programs offered through the AAA.
