About the Owner & Artist: Dani Davis remembers her childhood fondly because mom used to play a game called “What can you make?” Mom would draw a squiggly line and ask her to make something out of it. The game became an annoyance to Mom, but it totally delighted Dani.

Growing to puberty she honed her drawing skills to include pencil, ink, and charcoal. When she reached Junior high, she had an art teacher Miss Lillian, who saw that she was highly interested. Miss Lillian began to assign more difficult projects to push her forward.

Upon entering high school, Dani learned about different Medias and how to combine colors with different techniques. Of course, she took as many classes as possible and often engaged in field trips to the Western Michigan University to learn more. The addition of color brought more movement and drama to her artwork. She was paired with another student to complete the first mural on the Mattawan, Michigan high school wall. She continued to grow and complete additional artwork in homes and craft shows in the area.

In 2010 Dani moved to Mississippi. Dani has concentrated on brighter colors and new techniques. She drew inspiration from the Fauvism movement and favored loose values of color over realistic impressions. Dani opened her own gallery in Gulfport and stayed for two years. In the summer of 2015, she and a partner took over the Bohemian Gallery in Bay Saint Louis.

In Spring of 2017 she moved to Leesburg, Florida where she currently resides and owns Artrageous Gallery on Main Street.
