About Us:

We are a people built on the rock that is Christ, the Living Word of God. When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere and of every time. When we study the Bible and pray, we are drawn more deeply into God’s own saving story. We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God's grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all. Join us as we do God's work in Christ's name for the life of the world.

We believe in the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created and loves all of creation -- the earth and the seas and all of the world’s inhabitants. We believe that the Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that God's Spirit is active in the world.

Augustana’s worship service is relatively informal, and we welcome children of all ages! Our order of worship (the “liturgy”) comes out of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal, and we have a bulletin with page numbers so it’s easy to follow along. (You may want to put bookmarks in ahead of time.) The service is in the front of the book; hymns are in the back. There are also Bibles in our pew racks (their pages have red edges, so they’re easy to find), and you can use them to follow along in the Scripture reading. Service lasts about an hour; we share Holy Communion on the first and third Sundays, as well as high holy days.
