Ayer Childcare Program

115 Washington Street

Ayer Childcare Program is a non-profit, self-supporting component of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District.  The program was established in 1994 to serve families with children ages 3 through 12 years of age.

The primary goal of the Ayer Childcare Program is to provide programs to meet the needs of our families. ACP offers accessible, affordable and high quality child care and preschool to families in Ayer and the surrounding communities.

ACP is a diverse program and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin.

About Us:

The Ayer Childcare Program operates at the Page Hilltop School and provides preschool - middle school children with a safe, supervised and fun place to spend before/after school hours. Our goal is to offer a “neighborhood” experience for children where they have a choice of activities to participate in daily, including arts & crafts, games, cooking, technology and other events.

The Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten component offers a structured developmentally appropriate program following the Massachusetts Standards and Guidelines to facilitate children’s development in language, problem solving, fine motor skills, social skills and cognitive skills.

The Ayer Childcare Program is open Monday - Friday for before and after school care on the Ayer Public School calendar. In addition to school days the program operates on: professional development days, early release days, December, February and April school vacations and offers a full day summer camp. The program opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. on all days.
