History

The Badger State Dive Club offers a range of underwater activities for the beginning diver, as well as the more advanced diver. Dive sites include shore entry dives in medium depth, inland lakes, and also, challenging Lake Michigan boat dives.

Night dives and ice dives are also on the schedule. Our members have developed expertise in underwater photography, ship wreck history, antique bottle collecting and more. The club is active throughout the year, scheduling expeditions to Our World Underwater, Maritime Museums, Shedd Aquarium, St. Lukes hyperbaric chamber for educational information, as well as seminars and film festivals. Non-diving family members and friends are encouraged to attend and participate in club meetings and activities.

Badger State Divers have traveled to such exotic places as: Fiji, Micronesia, Belize, the Bay Islands of Honduras, Costa Rica, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Bonaire, Cozumel and more. Trips to Door County, Bonne Terre Mine, Munising, and the Florida Keys and Caves are annual destinations. Group trips are planned on a regular basis.
