To nurture and prepare lifelong learners.Did you know that Bascomb is a historical school? Well, sort of...The original Bascomb school was near the current campus' site in the early 1900's. The land on which our current school is built was owned by the Bascomb family. Our school was named Bascomb to honor this long-standing Cherokee County family. Below is a picture of students standing in front of the original Bascomb School. It was not just an elementary school at that time. Students of all ages attended Bascomb many years ago. You can also see a close up picture of Bascomb students and even a picture of one of the very first Cherokee County school buses! What a wonderful tradition to be a part of as a member of the 2006 Bascomb family.
