Blueridge Lions Club

On September 30, 1977 the Blueridge Lions Club of Missouri City, was chartered by the Sugar Land Lions Club, with Lion Dee Martini, serving as Guiding Lion. The club began with nineteen charter members.

Members of Blueridge are dedicated to seeking and doing things that foster the principles of Lionism, as suggested by our motto - "We Serve."

Excellence in effort, action and service bespeaks the Lions of Blueridge. Blueridge consistently participates in the District 2-S4 Governor's contest which measures the activities of all clubs in the district and rewards the best. In 1981-1982 Bluueridge was awarded 1st place in the District Governor's contest.

Many Blueridge Lions Club community and service projects are transparent to local residents. We strongly support and participate in International, State, District and Local Community services projects. Some of these projects include Disaster Relief, Texas Lions Camp (for children with physical impairments and diabetes), Texas Eye Bank, Leader Dog for The Blind, Drug Awareness and many more. We also provide eyeglasses and examinations for needy children through the local schools; assist indigent families, physically impaired children, scout groups, local school projects and award and annual scholarship for a local high school student.

The Lions of Blueridge are committed to serving the community. Therefore, when you see a Blueridge Lions Club project in progress, please support our efforts because we are working today for a better tomorrow!
