Buena Vista Heritage
About Us
Buena Vista Heritage is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to preserve and share the history of Buena Vista and Chaffee County for the education and enjoyment of the public. Our projects include the restoration and operation of the Buena Vista Heritage Museum, Turner Farm and the St. Elmo Schoolhouse, as well as the reconstruction of the St. Elmo Town Hall/ Jail and the ongoing restoration of the Buena Vista Depot and caboose. We also maintain the Maxwell Creek Schoolhouse in partnership with the Colorado Department of Education.
