Located in the town of Cairo, the Cairo-Durham Elementary School serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school also houses a Pre-Kindergarten program.

Each classroom is equipped with a computer, a projector, and Internet access, allowing teachers to tap into vast collections of educational videos and teach multimedia lessons. In addition, each classroom has a document projector, allowing a quick and easy way to guide students through their work, share maps, present 3-D materials, and demonstrate science lessons to all students -- not just the ones that fit around one table. There are also several computer labs that classes share, allowing each class to take turns building projects, conducting research, and practicing their new skills.
