Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, an extension of Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, opened in 2016 in Huntley, Illinois, with more than 600 physicians in 70 specialties who provide comprehensive medical care. The 128-bed facility provides access to Level 2 Trauma Center, surgical services including a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, a 20-bed Family Birth Center, Medical-Surgical Services, a 12 bed Intensive Care Unit, a Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Center and a Hip and Knee Replacement Center. The hospital's physicians and staff provide emergency services, and inpatient and outpatient care, and specialize in orthopaedics, cardiovascular interventions, surgical services and obstetrics. The hospital's pediatric unit is staffed 24/7 by pediatric hospitalists from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, which brings pediatric inpatient hospitalists to Huntley to care for children who are inpatients or who need consultations in the Emergency Department.
