Chapel Hill is well known for many things, but one of the most important is our strong commitment to community service and civic engagement. We each support our favorite charities and volunteer on behalf of them. But we sometimes become oblivious to the needs of our neighbors next door. Behind that front door are families struggling with health, financial, relationship, education, faith and other issues. Perhaps it is just trying to manage the daily rat race.
