Mission:

The Mission is to provide superior programs that foster excellence and success, to develop resourceful thinkers and learners, and to prepare students to be ethical and responsible citizens.
In support of this mission, the district is committed to:

Vision:

The Chawanakee Unified School District will be among the leading K-12 school districts in California with student achievement ranking in the top 10% of the State. CUSD teachers will be highly trained users of technology for instruction and students will acquire comprehensive technology skills as a part of the curriculum. The district will have safe and drug-free campuses and outstanding curricular, co-curricular and fine arts programs. All CUSD students will graduate with a knowledge and understanding of their environment, and with the academic skills and preparation necessary to succeed beyond high school. School sites will be community centers accessible to the public during non-school hours. Facilities will include lighted athletic fields, library media centers, classrooms and multipurpose rooms open and available to the community at each school site. CUSD school sites will be the hub of academic, social, civic and recreational activity for pre-school through adult community members.
