The Chebeague Island School serves all the students and community of Chebeague Island. The Town of Chebeague Island was established July 1, 2007 and at that time a School Committee was elected. The island has one school house which has classes from pre-k through fifth grade.

Students in sixth grade and older attend schools on the mainland. Sixth through eighth graders attend Frank H. Harrison Middle School in Yarmouth and Freshmen and sophomores attend Yarmouth High School. Juniors and Seniors attend Greely High School in Cumberland. In two years, all sixth graders and older will attend Yarmouth schools.
