Chiefland Farmer's Flea Market

1206 N Young Blvd. (US 19)
352-493-2022

In August 1999, Sonny Griffeth, owner of "Griffeth Tools", a tool vendor in the market who

was doing business there and knew the potential of the flea market, decided to buy it.

That's when "McCormack's Flea Market" was renamed "Chiefland Farmers Flea Market".

In April 2000, plans started to take shape for an outdoor flea market that many people

were requesting. If you visit today you will find a gently rolling red brick path nestled under large live oak trees.

There are 50 booths in this area, dealers seem to like it and the public loves it. Outside was expanded in Oct, 2011 to 50 booth.

On Feb. 11, 2002, Sonny was able to buy 1.7 acres on Highway 19/27 which is the major

thru fare for the area and should give us tremendous visibility and additional parking. Also on March 12, 2002 we received a permit from the City of Chiefland allowed us to erect a new sign on the new property.

April 2004 we opened a 21 site RV park each pedestal has 20-30-50 amp service, water telephone and cable TV with 360 degree night light for late comers.

The Chiefland Farmers Flea Market has been going strong for many years thanks to our local vendors and patrons as well as our welcome visitors from out of town and out of state.

Currently, the Chiefland Farmers Flea Market is owned, operated, and maintained by Sonny (owner) and Lydia Griffeth (manager) and Jesse (Maintenance) sell Tools and Hardware.
