City of Greenland, AR

#8 Ross Street
479-521-5760

Welcome to Greenland, Arkansas, Gateway to the Ozarks. Greenland is a small, traditional bedroom community adjoining Fayetteville to the south. Before 1970, the only highway to all points north passed through here. It was flanked by magnificent trees that formed a canopy over the highway. Since then, things have changed. I540 took most of the traffic headed north off of Hwy. 71.

We have recently redone the rules for the city. We have a new master plan to move us forward to reclaim the former beauty that was Greenland. Additionally, due to our location near the geographic center of the U.S.A., and our undeveloped freeway exit on I-540, we represent one of the last remaining opportunities for development adjacent the University of Arkansas. We are within three miles of major Fayetteville exits, with extremely easy access to the area we have set aside for an industrial park. We have the last remaining major undeveloped I-540 exit south of the Missouri state line.

We have highway, rail, and airport access for businesses needing such facilities. We are serious about reclaiming our former beauty and becoming much more than a "bedroom" community. Yet, we retain that "country" feel so different from crowded metro-centers.
