Harker Heights's population is 25,000. Key ordinances are in effect to assure the shaping of our growth. We are fortunate to have in place the tools for a controlled development with a progressive City Council and talented staff, along with a partnering of the Harker Heights/Killeen/Copperas Cove Chambers of Commerce, Killeen Independent School District and City Governments to make it all happen.

The establishment of the Harker Heights Economic Development Corporation will help select and encourage the appropriate type of new businesses and industries coming into Harker Heights to share the tax base.
