Nestled in the bend of the Colorado River is historic Columbus, Texas..... Home of the Columbus Opry. The Columbus Opry is housed in the grand old Oaks Theater just two blocks west of the courthouse square.

The Columbus Opry provides a Country and Western music show every Saturday night. Traditional and contemporary country/western, gospel and polka are performed live on stage beginning at 7:30 P.M. A variety of entertainers travel from all over the country to offer their talents on the Columbus Opry stage. Each entertainer is accompanied by the talented musicians and vocalists of our own TEXAS SAGEBRUSH BAND .

The Columbus Opry is the proud recipient of the American Eagle Award for 'OPRY OF THE YEAR' by the Country Music Organizations of America for 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999.

Since it's opening on April 8, 1995, the Columbus Opry has enjoyed audiences ranging from grand-babies to grand-parents and every age in between.

Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited in the building which allows for an environment of good family entertainment. The concession area offers fresh popcorn, candy, coffee, soft drinks, bottled water and John's famous 'cowboy coffee'. The concession area has become a gathering place for intermission conversation.
