Comfort Zone Camp

110B Meadowlands Parkway, Suite 301
201-867-2077

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit organization that provides free therapeutic programs for children ages 5-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, guardian or sibling. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Our programs empower children to be able to grieve, heal, and grow in healthy ways.

Comfort Zone builds a supportive and collaborative community so that everyone who experiences what we call "The Bubble" re-enters the world more resilient to achieve greatness. Programs are held year-round in locations throughout the United States.

We need over 100 volunteers each camp program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please visit our website or contact Krista.

At Comfort Zone we use a strengths-based approach - grieving children are a resource to be developed, not a problem to be fixed.  We help children find their voice and develop coping skills to become resiliency in the face of challenge.

To refer a camper, please have the child's parent or current legal guardian visit our website, www.comfortzonecamp.org, to complete an application. If they do not have computer access, please contact our office at 201-867-2077 to receive a paper application. Our Intake Coordinator will be in contact to complete a phone interview.
